You wanna rank number one on Google. How do you think you do it? If you have a brand-new website or even a website that’s old and you’re getting little to no organic traffic, you can still generate a lot of traffic from Google and rank organically. But the ways you need to do is totally different than what people are thinking.
Most people say you need to build links. Most people say you need to do on page SEO. But where do you start?
How to rank Website on Google first page for free?
5 free SEO tools to boost your Google search engine ranking:
I am going to share 5th FREE TOOLS that will help you rank number one on Google.
- My first Tip for you is QuickSprout Analyzer.
QucikSprouts is a free tool. You go to quicksprout.com, you put in your URL, it’s a SEO application and it’ll tell you and break down all of the things that are wrong, and it’ll either walk you through, how to fix some step by step.
For example, if you’re not putting in the right keywords in your title tag or your description or in your alt image tags, QuickSprout will tell you and you just click a button and it even shows you which keywords to add where.
You know what the cool part about QuickSprout is? If you’re not technical, and you want to publish these changes you don’t need to know coding. QuickSprout can publish them all for you.
2. Google Search Console
Now with Google Search Console what it ends up doing is, every time you publish a new blog post or a page, you have an XML site map. The XML site map is probably gonna be created by the Yoast Plugin, that’ what I use and that’s what most experts use. You then submit it to search console.
In addition to that Search Console shows you, how many impressions you’re getting, how many clicks you’re getting, which pages are popular, and it even shows you which keywords are getting a lot of impressions for, but not a lot of clicks, you can then go and optimize your content by adding those keywords in, adjusting your title tag, your meta description to include those keywords, and maximize your click to rate.
It will increase your rankings without you having to build even a one single link.
3. The third tool I have for you is Google Trends
Let’s say there is a car industry, and there is General Motors and BMW. They both have millions of dollars to spend on SEO. They both have millions of back links. How does Google know? Should you rank General Motors or BMW?
Well one of the factors within Google is brand queries and Google Trends shows you this. At present, BMW is more popular than General Motors.
That’s mean more people are typing in BMW and all the other SEO factors are very similar. What are they gonna do? They are going to rank the more popular car manufacture ahead of the other.
4. The fourth free tool is websiteresponsivetest.com
Do you know more people are using Google from their mobile or tablet devices than they are from their desktop or laptops? That’s crazy, but just think about it.
Phones these days aren’t like the old saved by the bell Zack Morris days where they had those big brick phones. Nowadays, they’re small and they’re really powerful. Sometimes they’re more powerful than some old computers.
So, you wanna make sure your website is responsive and people on mobile devices can load your website extremely fast, and using this free tool, it’ll show you how other website and mobile visitors are seeing your website.
5. The last but not the least Google PageSpeed Insights
Google PageSpeed Insights shows how fast your website loads and if it loads slowly, that’s okay. They break down a list that shows what you need to improve both for desktop devices and mobile devices. So that way your website can load extremely fast. Because here’s the thing if someone’s on your website, and it’s loading slow, because these days more people are using mobile phones, what do you think they are gonna do? They’re gonna leave.
So make sure your website loads extremely fast.
Now, beyond all the SEO tools, I am going to take an example to let you understand things better. There’s a company called Ahrefs. Ahrefs provides a SEO tool. They rank on page one of Google and at the top for backlink checker. But before they ranked at the top, they were doing everything, they were building links to that page, they were guiding internal links and they couldn’t get to the top, no matter what they tried. Can you guess, why couldn’t they get to the top?
It’s because everyone who searches for that term is looking for a free tool that provides backlinks right away.
Ahrefs is a paid tool. The moment they figured this out, they released a free version of their tool that provides information on a hundred backlinks. Just a hundred, they limited it, so people still upgrade to their paid tool and what ended up happening is within a few weeks to even less than a month, they shot up to number one.
Do you see what happened there? They figured out what the user wanted and they provided it. It wasn’t just about building links; it wasn’t just about optimizing title tags, putting in the right keywords. It’s providing the best experience for users and that’s a mistake that most people make.
In 2019 and even beyond, SEO is not just about building links, building the right type of content, internal linking. It’s about thinking about the user and putting them first. Don’t only think of on-page or off-page perspective; think about SEO from a user’s perspective. What do your ideal customers want? If you don’t know them, head over to tools like surveymonkey.com and you can survey users.
You can survey your own users. Ask them things they like, what else would you like to see on this page? How can we delight you? How can we make our website better, our products or our services?
By figuring out what people want and then giving it to them, you’re much more likely to rank and climb in the rankings.
